Hands of Love: Serving Like Jesus
Mission work isn’t just about doing stuff—it’s about reflecting Jesus through our actions. Jesus’ hands were powerful tools of love, healing, and service. When He touched people, He didn’t just heal their bodies—He restored relationships and brought them back into the fold. How can our hands do the same?

The Power of Jesus’ Hands
In Matthew 19:13-15, Jesus used His hands to bless and embrace, showing love in a world that often overlooked the weak. In Mark 10:45, He says He came to serve, not to be served. His hands were constantly at work, showing us that our mission is to serve others in love, just like He did.
Why Did Jesus Touch the Leper?
In Matthew 8:1-3, Jesus heals a man with leprosy. He didn’t need to touch him to heal him—He could’ve done it with a word. But Jesus chose to touch the untouchable. Why? To show the world that love goes beyond physical healing. Sometimes, reaching someone’s heart means reaching out physically—feeding, helping, or just being there.
Touch: A Powerful Tool
Touch says more than words. Whether it’s a comforting hand on the shoulder, a meal, or just showing up when it’s needed, our actions communicate God’s love. Serving isn’t just about what we do—it’s about how we reflect Christ to the world.
Serving Jesus by Serving Others
In Matthew 25:35-40, Jesus says that when we care for others, we’re caring for Him. Serving isn’t just about helping—it’s about showing the world what Jesus looks like through our actions.
Action Steps:
Serve today – Look for a simple way to serve someone. It could be a small act of kindness or a helping hand.
Use touch – How can you communicate love through physical actions today?
Serve with purpose – Every act of kindness is worship. Do it for God’s glory, not recognition.
Pray for guidance – Ask God to show you who needs His touch today.
Prayer
Lord, help us remember that everything we do is for You. May our hands be used for love, healing, and service, reflecting Your heart to the world. Amen.
Serving is about more than just actions—it’s about letting Jesus work through us. Use your hands to serve, love, and bring healing wherever you go.
